Mitchell Wayne Norgaar, 57, died April 21st,2019, at Danville Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born September 19th,1961, in Danville, the son of Charles Norgaar and Carol Stringer.
Mitch was an avid Chicago sports and NCAA enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, grilling, playing bags and having porch parties. Mitch had a tenacious spirit, a kind heart and a resilient mind.
In 2006 he married the love of his life, Pamela (Brannin) Norgaar. They would have celebrated 13 years of marriage this year.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Everett and Irene; nephew, Matthew; son, Sean Swenson; step father, Howard; granddaughter, Zoe.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Pamela Norgaar, are his children, Anthony (Abby) Razaitis of Danville, Kelsey (Will) Connelly of Georgetown, Ryan Brannin of Danville, Tiffanie (Mark) Connelly of Champaign; his siblings, David (Theresa) Norgaar of Danville, Cathy (Randy) Hubbard of Danville, Two younger brothers, Randy and Floyd; His close friends, Brian and Brandon Moreman of Danville, Bobby See of Danville, Brandon Paris of Danville; Niece, K’la Hillard of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Nephews, James and Christopher Brannin of Tennessee ; grandchildren, Cameron, Dominic, Bryson, Christopher, Nathaniel, Hunter, Alexis, Zayden, Remington, Arabella, Erisa, Amalia, Sylas, Addalynn.
A Reunion Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at 2PM at GreenTree Banquet Center to celebrate his life and reunion with his late son Sean Swenson. Family and friends will gather together to enjoy all his favorite things; beer, bags and burgers. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory is assisting the family.
