Muriel Razaitis Obituary

Muriel Patricia Razaitis was born December 22, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, MO to Ray and Rose Statler. The family included a brother George (Bud) and moved to St. Louis in 1929. Patricia graduated from Roosevelt High School and then was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank for three years until her marriage to Yeoman 1st Class Anthony Charles Razaitis of Westville, IL on January 16, 1943, at Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral in St. Louis. When the war ended, they made their home in Danville IL, where they raised their children, Robert, David and Marilyn.

Pat, as she was known, was an organist at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Danville for several years. She also was an avid gardener and was a member of the Danville Garden Club where she was twice president. When the children were grown, Pat and Tony moved to a small farm in Oakwood, IL. Their love for gardening was evident in their home and grounds. She joined Hebron Methodist Church in Newtown and was the pianist and organist for many years and an active member of The Ladies Aid. After Tony died, she moved back to Danville. She loved being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Carol) Razaitis of Tomah, WI and her grandchildren Chrystal Davis, Kelsey (Will) Connelly, Kathy Shockey, Daniel Razaitis, Anthony Razaitis and Ryan Brannon, her great grandchildren, Madisun, Macey and Greyson Laird, Bryson and Arabella Connelly, Aaron and Megan Shockey, Cameron, Christopher, Nathaniel, Hunter, Zaydien, Remington, and Addalyn Razaitis, and Sylas Brannon, her nieces, Mary Ann, Rebecca, Rachael, Susan, and Melanie and a very special friend, Cicely Knight.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her parents, brother, two children, Marilyn and David and a grandson, Sean Swenson.  There will be no service per Pat’s wishes.
