Oscar David Lomax

Oscar David Lomax, 79, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Goldwater Care in Danville, IL.

Oscar was born September 5, 1945, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Ralph R. and Edna M. (Lovett) Lomax. He married “Olive” Jean Hendricks on September 25, 1967, she precedes him in death. Oscar worked and retired from General Motors. He was an Army Veteran and served his country in Vietnam.

He was also preceded in death by his 5 brothers, Ralph, Tom, Earl, James and Bob Lomax; and 2 sisters, Edna and Janette Lomax.

Oscar is survived by a son, Edward (Kim) Lomax of Covington; and 1 sister, Peggy (Richard) Myler of Sidell.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Oscar to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
