Owen W. "Smokey" Ellis, Jr.

Owen Worth “Smokey” Ellis, Jr., 75, of Danville, passed away at 5:58 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 at home. He was born October 13, 1946 in Danville, the son of Owen W. and Dorothea May (Buck) Ellis. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Ellis, Brian Ellis and Tammy (Red) Ellis, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a sister-in-law. Owen served in the U.S. Army. He will be forever missed by family and friends. Graveside services will be at Danville National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 210.
