Paul L. Boswell

Paul Lowell Boswell, 86 of Danville, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at his home of 86 years in the arms of his two daughters.

Paul was married to Lois (Townsend) Boswell but now he is living gloriously in heaven with her.

He is also preceded in death by his mother and father, Rufus Boswell and Mary Zimmerman a sister, Joyce Lipowski,

his grandchildren, Troy Duesterhoft and Candus Boswell.

He is survived by his six children: Sharleen (Stu) Sanders, Marcus Boswell, Tony Boswell, Joyce (Tom) Duesterhoft, Paul Boswell, Jr., Chris Boswell, and many loved grandchildren.

Paul was a proud Navy man who served his country.  He was also a Trump fan through and through. Paul worked for Barkman Chevrolet then retired from Danville Mass Transit, later driving part time for Illini Swallow. Paul was a homebody he and Lois would be content sitting on their front porch drinking coffee or doing genealogy together. Paul loved his dog Angel and grieved a long time over her until Callie came along, easing that pain. Paul had a soft spot for his two daughters. One was a great cook and baker, the other, a care giver like her mom. He loved all his children though and told Joyce how he loved each child and was proud just because they were his.

Paul was a simple family man but not simple when talking about God. He wanted you to explain your reasons and him to explain his.

Paul was not one to show expressions much but when he lost the love of his life, he couldn't hold back the pain. God understood and decided it was time to bring him home, and he did.
