Randy Wayne Rickgauer 71 peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Monday (February 27, 2023) surrounded by his family. He was born September 22, 1951, in Danville, IL . The son of William Rickgauer and Barbara (Jean Hankins) Rickgauer of Danville, IL. Survivors include: his children, Carrie Anne (Doug) Hummer of Fort Myers, Fl, Randall Ross Rickgauer of Danville, IL.Grandchildren: Caleb (Alivia) Hummer, MacKenzie Joy Hummer, Brandon Rickgauer, Felicity Rickgauer (Anthony Shore) Chance Rickgauer, and Lilly Rickgauer. One great-grandson: Carter Lee Shore. Sister Marla Senft and brother Bill and Carol (Castleman) Rickgauer. Many nephews, nieces, and extended family. Randy was preceded in death by his parents William Rickgauer and Barbara (Jean Hankins) Rickgauer, one sister Pam Rickgauer, and two brothers, Blair and Brent Rickgauer.
Randy served honorably in the U.S. Army; he worked and retired from Thyssen Krupp. He believed in Jesus as his Savior and he was a huge Cubs fan. The most exciting times of his life were the day he met Jesus, the birth of his children, and the day the Cubs won the World Series.
There will be a graveside service at Danville National Cemetery on Monday, March 6th at 1900 E. Main Street at 10:00 am. Randy's son-in-law, Doug Hummer, will be officiating the
service. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 210.
