Randolph Owen (Randy) Brown

Randolph Owen Brown, 68, of Bismarck passed away on September 08, 2024.  Randy grew up in Bismarck, IL the youngest of three boys, to Byron and Ramona Brown. Born with severe asthma, he struggled to survive on more than one occasion. But survive he did, and look out world, here he comes. He graduated from Bismarck high school and got a degree from Parkland College.

Randy had no limits and very few filters. He lived his life the only way he knew how--head on. Randy spent several years in central Illinois working for Southland Corp., Kraft Foods, JM Jones and even a circus in Danville which he stayed with till their winter season. He ended up in Tucson, Az. where he made many new friends. Randy (with his gift to gab and honesty as a person) got hired by 4th Avenue Merchants Association as a street laborer, then was quickly promoted to Streetscape Supervisor. He was very proud of this job as he helped set-up some of the biggest festivals in the southwest, including Tucson's Gem and Mineral show, which drew visitors from all over the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Randy was in his element on 4th Street. This job came to an end with a change of management in 2016. Randy was a single dad to Whisper and decided to move back to his roots in Bismarck. He wanted Whisper to meet more of her family and to attend the small Midwest school he attended.  

Randy loved life and he never met a stranger...He helped anyone who needed a hand.  He loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, camping and anything outdoors (particularly mushroom hunting).  Randy loved his family and especially his daughter. 

He was preceded in death by both parents.  Randy is survived by his siblings Greg (Susan) Brown of Danville, Stephen L Brown of Danville and his daughter Whisper Hope Brown of Bismarck.
