Rebecca Lynn Thompson, 47, of Danville, was promoted to glory at 10:49 a.m. on Thursday, October 24th,2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born in Danville, Illinois on February 5th, 1977 to Lynn Gentry Sr and Yvonne Aldridge. 

She married Curtis Thompson June 3rd, 2017.  Becky was a huge Supernatural fan. She spent the majority of her life volunteering. She loved to make custom made items. Her family was the most important thing to her.

She will be missed by her husband, her two bonus children, Isha and Damien, three grandchildren, her siblings, Lillian Servis, Jennifer (Daniel) Arce, Lynn (Tammy) Gentry Jr., Leroy (Autumn) Gentry, Bruce (Amber) Vandiver, Jr., her aunts, Sharon, Karen, and Carolyn, Uncle James, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her best friends Heather Anderson, Jaime Dokey and Lara Cottrill.

She was blessed to have many lifelong friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several cousins. 

Services will be held at the United Church of Tilton 520 W. 5th St. in Tilton, Illinois on Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m. officiated by The Salvation Army.
