Richard Edwin Wheeler

Richard Edwin Wheeler, 66, of Oakwood, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at home. He was born on September 26, 1959, in Danville to Samuel W. and Margaret L. (Anderson) Wheeler.  A tribute to Richard by his daughter, Tria:

As Dad’s daughter, if I had any problems, all I had to do was call Dad. If you could not figure out your computer, just call Rick! If you have a vehicle problem, just call Rick. If it storms and your roof blows off, just call Rick. Everyone always said Dad was so very helpful and a very good friend. He came from a family of eight and also had two beautiful daughters, four grandbabies, three great-grandbabies and a very special great-grandbaby soon to be delivered, and one of his greatest friends, Wilber Cook.
