Rita Rose (Towell) Wynn

Rita Rose Towell Wynn, 81, of Tilton, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, Il. Rita was born October 3, 1942, to Dennis and Marcella (Fitzgerald) Towell.

Rita is survived by her husband of 53 years Clifford ”Pete” Wynn of Tilton. Her 3 children, Tina (Jeff Glass) Vaughn of Tilton, Kevin (Tracy) Grove of Raleigh, North Carolina and Johanna "Joni" Dale of Crawfordsville. Stepsons Doug, Jeff and Brad Wynn. Grandchildren Jenna (Johnathon) Engelmann, Luke Vaughn, Nathan (Breanne) Dale, Caleb Dale, Casey Dale and Connor Grove. Great Grandchildren Evan Reeves and Dyllan Engelmann. Brothers Bob Towell, Bill (Linda) Towell, and Roger (Mary) Towell and many nieces and nephews.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Betty Chesrown, Peggy Stamper, Judy Knoepfel and Kay Campbell, brother; James Towell.

Rita worked at Ken's IGA in Westville for many years up until she retired. Rita enjoyed sitting on the porch, "checking the birds", watching Judge Judy and going to Peoria to the casino with her sisters. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
