Robert J. Boswell, 67, left this life on Saturday July 29,2023 at St Frances Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, due to complications from histoplasmosis. Robert was born January 1, 1956, to Robert and Sarah (Smith) Boswell. He was the first baby born in Danville on New Year’s Day 1956. Robert was the oldest son of six children. He attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and Danville High School. Bob worked for a time at Pepsi in Danville, Illinois before transferring to Pepsi in Denver Colorado. He worked all sorts of jobs around the Danville area from erecting grain bins to landscaping and working in a machine shop. It seemed like while driving around town with him he would constantly comment “I used to work there”.
Bob was a kind soul with a very intelligent mind. He loved watching the History Channel and ME TV, with old shows, plus Jeopardy where he knew most of the answers. If he had a beer, cigarettes, a little food and his tv, he was content to sit in his recliner and watch old shows.
He leaves us with many cherished memories and wishing there could be more. Robert leaves behind to mourn his loss, his daughters, Tiffany Boswell (Benito Robles) and Miranda Boswell and his grandchildren; Kayla, Tyler, Cyanna, Khai and Kane all from Colorado, also, his sisters; Susan Tabels and Julie (Edward) York and brother; Mark Boswell as well as many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Connie Casey and his brother Charlie Boswell.
Per Robert's wishes his body will be cremated and his ashes will be spread in the mountains he loved in Colorado. A private family memorial service will be at a later date. Fly high Bob! You will be missed!
