Rev. Robert Dale Norfleet, 85, of Shelbyville, IL, has left us for his adventure to Heaven on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born June 26, 1940, in Monticello, IL to Hubert and Myrtle (Fairy) Norfleet, who both precede him in death.
Robert was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Herbert and Joe Norfleet; 1 brother-in-law, Raymond Kern; 2 wives, Norma June Norfleet and Barbara Jo Norfleet; 1 step grandson, Jason Thompson; and 1 granddaughter, Chyenne Nicole “Serepin” Norsic.
He is survived by his 3 children and 1 stepdaughter, Bobette Chere (David) Tester, Martin Dale (Paige) Norfleet, Barbette Jere (Richard Carter) Serepin, and Sandy Crockett; 10 grandchildren, Tony (Jessica) Norfleet, Tyler (Hannah) Norfleet, Wyatt (Gracie) Norfleet, Christian (Brooke) McIntosh, Austin (Julianna Dooty) Serepin, A. Michael “Mickey” L. (Lily Hazelgrove) Serepin, Sara Snow, Seth Carter, Dakota (Pashie) Carter, and Dylan Carter; 4 step grandchildren, Rebel (Bart) Jones, Bryson (Britney) Thompson, Keith Mars and Brittnay (Will Rulli) McIntosh; great grandchildren, Cole Lee Barber, Aubrey Norsie, Rosalie “Serepin” Wood, Emitt Carter, Lilith Carter, Eli Rulli, and 16 more.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with funeral services at 4:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the First Church of the Nazarene, 701 W. North 3rd St. Shelbyville, IL 62565. Rev. Greg Breeden and church pastor Rev. Micheal Flowers officiating.
