Robert L. Park, a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Accolade Healthcare of Danville, Illinois. He was 72 years old. Born on November 17, 1952, in Danville, Illinois, Robert was the son of John J. and Lavina O. (Ruggles) Park.
Robert dedicated his life to his family and friends. He was married to the love of his life, Susan L. Sullivan, on June 16, 1972, in Shively, Kentucky. Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, reflected in his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters.
Robert was not only a family man but also a passionate sports fan. He enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams: The Washington Redskins, The Chicago Cubs, and The Fighting Illini.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, and a sister. He had a unique ability to bring people together, and his laughter and unique sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
