Robert Leonard (Bob) Rainwater

Robert Leonard Rainwater, known as Bob to family and friends, passed away April 13, 2024 at The Loft Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, IL at 2:15 a.m.  He was born February 26, 1956 to Leonard Willis and Hazel Mary (Burton) Rainwater in Danville, IL.

He lived most of his life in and around Hoopeston, IL.  He attended school in the Hoopeston School Systems.  He is survived by his daughter, Mindy E. (Kirk) Smith of Pittsboro, IN, sisters Lana Rainwater and Leslie (Tom) Jean both of Attica, IN, also 8 nieces and nephews along with many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.  Also surviving is his girlfriend Leanne Fulz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents (Art & Marie Burton), paternal grandparents (Oliver & Bertie Rainwater)

Graveside rites will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating.
