At 11:25pm on Wednesday October 26,2022 Ronald "Dean" Morrison received the keys to the Harley he always dreamed of for one final ride. He was born in Danville on July 15,1961 to Mildred Walker Morrison and James Morrison Sr.
Dean was a jokester and could make anyone laugh. He had a generous, loving soul and would help anyone out even if that meant giving them the shirt off his back. He enjoyed cooking, especially grilling, being outdoors, spending time with his family, building model cars, listening to rock n roll, especially AC/DC, playing bingo, cards, and dice and watching TV. His favorite shows were wrestling (wrasslin' if you asked him), Counting Cars, The Big Bang Theory, and anything on the Food Network. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved anything Harley Davidson. In his younger healthier years, he was a party animal and was known to have thrown and attended a few good parties.
Dean married Cheryl Ervin on February 7, 2003; she survives. Also surviving are a sister Bonnie "Sue" Brewer, a brother James "Jim" (Janet) Morrison, his children Ronald "Ronnie" Morrison, Dorie Newton, Traba (Robert) Thomas, and Clina Simmons. Grandchildren Eric and Erabella Hampton, Tara and Devin Newton, Robert Jr, Jailia, Camron, and Gordon Thomas, Demarion Pichon, and Amari Simmons. A great grandson Ja'vontae Walker. Brother-in-law, Cecil Ervin. Sister-in-law, Linda (Tim) Pickett, nieces and nephews, Tina Johnson, David Brewer, Toby Brewer, Sarah Pruitt, Justin Morrison, Jody Brown, Tammy Morrison, Patty Johnson, Jared Johnson, Haley Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Michael Morrison the third, Katelyn Morrison, and a host of other cousins, greats, and in laws.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and James Sr, brothers Michael "Mike" Morrison, Samuel "Sam", Jerry Morrison, and Bruce Morrison, nephews, Jim Morrison the third, Bryan Morrison, and Mikey Morrison, stepson Michael Shelly, and granddaughters Ann and Destiny Stewart.
Per his wishes he was cremated with no services. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com.
