Ronald "Ronnie" Leslie Hillard

Ronald Leslie (Ronnie) Hillard, 85 of Metcalf, Ill. passed on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Carle Hospital. He was born December 29, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio. The son of Leslie and Grace (Brown) Hillard. He was united in marriage to Christel Crowley on November 21.1971.

Ronald is survived by his wife, stepchildren Mike (Shawn) Crowley of Martinsville, Ill., Dianne (David) Summers of Champaign, Ill., Leo Crowley of Metcalf. Patty of Bellflower, Ill. Twin brothers Roger (Socorro) Hillard of Danville, Robert (Chris) Hillard of Westville, Ill. His 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth Hillard, his sisters Mildred Nickle and Audrey Hillard.

Ronald was self-employed as a body and fender repairman. He once owned Ron's Body Shop.

He loved camping, fishing and gardening. He cherished and loved his wife, family and pets. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday January 21, 2023, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 211 Center Street, Hume, Ill.
