Rosie Marie Swaim, of Danville, IL, lost her battle with cancer on October 22, 2020 at the age of 52 with her family by her side.
Rose was born on June 2, 1968 to Michael and Phyllis Largent. She had a large family of four brothers: Paul Andrew Cope(deceased), James Allen Newberry (deceased), Mark Wayne Largent, John William Largent (Brenda Largent), and two sisters: Nannette Carol Pruitt (Randy Pruitt) and Ann Beth McDaniel (William McDaniel).
On September 28, 1986 Rose married Terry Lee Swaim, who was her partner in crime. They have two children: Justin Michael Swaim and Raychella Ann Swaim, and five grandchildren. Rose worked as a waitress at Cahill’s Restaurant in Danville, Illinois for 30 years where she met so many wonderful people.
Rose enjoyed being around those she loved. She was always the life of the party, even if she was always late to arrive. She loved camping with family, riding bikes, and playing euchre and LCR with her sisters and brother-n-laws. She loved going out and having laughs with her good friends from Cahills. She loved going to concerts and was an avid animal lover.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 5th, at 1pm at the Danville Westside Church of the Nazarene which is on the corner of East Polk and Vance Lane. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, no more than 25 people at a time will be admitted to the church.
