Rosemary Thomas, 80, of Danville, passed away August 8, 2020 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL.
She was born August 17, 1939 to Lee and Jessie (Kilby) Newell. She married Robert Lawlyes in August 1958. He preceded her in death. She later married Jim Thomas.
Rosemary is survived by a brother, Steve Newell, of Danville, a daughter Cindy (Larry) Cunningham of Danville and four sons: Mark (Lisa) Lawlyes; Brian Lawlyes and Destinee Powell of Danville, Doug (Sandy) Lawlyes of Westville and Eric (Angie) Lawlyes of Fowler, IN.
She loved and spoiled five grandsons and three granddaughters, introducing them all to coffee at an early age. In addition, she loved baking, decorating cakes and gardening. She loved visiting with all her family, nieces, nephews and special friends Shirley Laws and Debbie Miller.
Rosemary worked for many years at Mike's Grill and as an American Greetings merchandiser.
Rosemary requested cremation at Rortvedt Funeral Services and Crematory in Tilton.
Friends and family are welcome to gather for an outdoor visitation at 10:30 am Monday, August 17, 2020 at 1761 Murray Clark Road in Danville.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Pleasant Meadows Senior Living.
