Sandie L. Shaw

Sandie L. Shaw, 50, of Westville, IL, passed away January 2, 2021, after a short, but brave battle with cancer. She passed at home with her loving husband and beloved dog Buster by her side.

She was born to the late Ellen Cathy Baldwin, January 24, 1970 in Danville, IL.

She married Michael L. Shaw on March 26, 1988 in Danville, Il. When Sandie met Mike, they knew they had met their soul mate, they were hardly ever apart.

Sandie is survived by her husband, four children: Bradley (Tisha) Shaw of Georgetown, Brandon (Jodie) Shaw of Georgetown, Darren (April) Shaw of Monticello, and Jodi (Jarrod) Dodson of Westville. One sister, Toni (Jason) Watson of Catlin, and one brother Richard (Chillie) Clarkston of Savannah, GA. Sandie also had twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sandie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She did everything she could for everyone around her and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Sandie enjoyed spending time with family, going to concerts, fishing, spending time outdoors, and playing her videogames.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8th, 2021 from 10 AM – 12 PM at Grape Creek Baptist Church. Funeral Services beginning at 12 Noon at the Grape Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Leary officiating. Graveside services immediately following at Oakhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for final expenses or in support of lung cancer research. Masks and social distancing will be required.
