Sandra Kay (Nickle) Smith

Sandra Kay Smith, 65, of Danville, Illinois passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home. 

Sandee was born to Basil and Doris (Hancock) Nickle on September 8, 1955. She married Roger Smith on October 28, 2011. He survives.

Sandee enjoyed mowing, taking care of her yard, and gardening. Her cats, Bubba and Missy, were very special to her. She liked to bake, especially banana bread. She loved her job and co-workers at Westville IGA, where she worked in the meat department. Some of her favorite times were spent laughing with friends.

She will be missed by all who loved her. 

Sandee is survived by her husband, Roger; daughter, Tammie Decker and boyfriend Mark New of Danville; son, Timothy (Leann) Bright of Bismarck; step-daughter, Jessica Smith of Harden, KY; 7 grandchildren, Jordan, Larry, and Miranda Decker, Haileigh Bright, Trenton, Addyson, & Mackenzie Smith; 3 great-grandchildren, Ezrah, Oaklynn, and Kinsleigh; brothers, Larry (Vicki) Nickle of Danville, Mark (Marilyn) Nickle of Oakwood; sisters in law, Diane (Gordon) Collins of Olney, Barb Strader of Tilton; brothers in law, Terry (Barbara Ann) Smith of Maryville, TN, Jim Spencer of Tilton; and mother in law, Donna Spencer of Danville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Doris; sister in law, Nancy Bryleski; and father in law, James Spencer.

Cremation rites were accorded. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
