Starla Jo Shelato

Starla Shelato, 52, of Danville, IL, passed away September 28, 2025, at her home. She was born August 2, 1973, in Danville, IL to Dale Edward Pierce Sr. and Ruthie Gail (Truax) Sigler.

Everyone who knew Starla knew her as a bright light on this earth with her beauty and presence. She enjoyed spending time outdoors hanging out with friends and having a good time.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shelato; 2 grandchildren, Gabriella and Logan; sister, Brenda; and brother, Dale Pierce Jr.

Starla is survived by her children, Alyssa (Travonte) Nina-Phelps, Rhiannon Shelato and Jesse Shelato; grandson, Anu Nina-Phelps; niece, Erin Ervin; companion, Michael Jo Crider; special friend, Lemoyne Stephen; and stepsons, Timothy and Tanner Shelato.
