Stephen "Steve" Lynn Blazaitis

Stephen Lynn Blazaitis was born on February 15, 1954, the son of Alexander “Bugs” and Gracelee (Williamson) Blazaitis. Steve was called home on July 7, 2025, at the age of 71, after a short, but brave battle with cancer.

Steve, as he was affectionately called, was a former member of Kiwanis and an active member of the Patriot Guard Riders, serving as a ride captain for region 4. Additionally, he was a member of the Harley Owners Group, ABATE, and the Ambucs. He was a 1972 graduate of Westville High School. He retired from Consumers Illinois Water Company (Aqua Illinois) after more than 25 years of service and was the current Vice President of the Westville Belgium Sanitary District.

Steve leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 23 years, Linda “Lynn” Blazaitis; children, Adam (Beth) Blazaitis, and Nicole (Chad) McMahan; grandchildren, Robert and Isabell Blazaitis, and Carli and Alexander McMahan; brother, Todd Blazaitis; special nephew, Jon (Deidra) Thornton; great niece, Madison Thornton; and a very special cousin, Carol Riffey and many friends. Steve never knew a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and several grandparents and relatives.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 311 Moses Avenue, Westville, IL 61883. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. As Steve would have wanted, please dress casually in jeans and a Harley shirt or Patriot Guard Rider attire.
