Steven “Steve” A. Cravens, 71, of Farmer City, IL, passed away on June 24, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born April 29, 1954, in Danville, IL to Ralph Edward and Patricia Ann (Moody) Cravens.
Steve lived in Oakwood, IL for many years and enjoyed his long-time career as a truck driver. He was a dress casual man who was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, liked WWE and dirt track racing. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle with his wife, Laveda, and together they went on many adventures.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arnold and Brian Cravens; and sister, Candice Cravens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Laveda Weidner-Cravens; children, Kerry (Chad) Holcombe, Candice (Tim) Wright, Curtis (Karen) Weidner, Kevin (Shany) Weidner, and Marc Weidner; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and stepmother, Mary Lou Cravens.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Christ Way Church, 618 E. Main St., Danville, IL from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to come honor Steve’s life by sharing stories and memories.
