Sue E. (Livingston) Maxwell, 76, of Oakwood, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2022 at 3:00 am with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1946, the daughter of James Miriam Livingston and Dorothy Lee (Wells) Livingston.
Sue was a dedicated Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. She lived her whole life serving God and others before herself. She loved her grandchildren and many extremely close friends of the family. She spread God's word to everyone. She worked at Fithian Grade School, Danville Consolidated Credit Union and American Self Storage. She was a member of Batestown United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Livingston and sisters, Ruth Ann Maxwell, Naomi Ester Livingston and Doris Elizabeth Bloomfield.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Wilbur Glenn Maxwell; son, Glenn Allan Maxwell of Oakwood, IL; daughter, Michelle (Joseph) Gentzsch of Oakwood, IL; grandchildren, Jeremiah Gentzsch, Noah Gentzsch, Emily Maxwell, Grace Maxwell and Brandon Gentzsch; sister, Gail (Charles) Parnell of Chucky, MS; brothers, James (Donna) Livingston and Gary Livingston of Meridian MS, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at Cornerstone Christian Church, 1607 Greenwood Cemetery Road, Danville, IL 61832 on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 am with visitation from 10 am until the service time. Patti Wise will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends and a dinner after the service.
