Tamara Pothast Obituary

Tamara Jo Pothast (Lil Bit), aged 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.  She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  A service will be held at Vermilion Valley Vineyard 3733 Poolside Drive Danville, IL on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visiting hours to follow until 3:00 p.m.

Tamara was born on December 15,1957 in Danville, IL to Ronald and Sandra Hallett.  She graduated from Seeger High School in 1976.  She moved to Flora, IN where she married her first husband, Don Pendleton.  Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, they did have 2 children together and remained in touch. She then moved to Covington, IN where she reconnected with her second husband, and soulmate, Mike Pothast (Loser).  She worked alongside Mike in his tattoo business, Mike’s Tattoos, and found a passion working with the many regular customers that visited the shop.  She finished her career at Viscofan in Danville, IL where she made many new friends.

More than anything, she loved riding her motorcycle, spending time with friends, watching her grandchildren in their various activities, and attending church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike, her children Seth Pendleton (Jentry) of Rossville, IN, and Emily Matthews (William) of Charlotte, NC, stepson, Nevan Pothast of Georgetown, IL, her grandchildren, Isabeall, Henry, Eleanor and Creed, her mother, Sandra Hallett Reynolds, sisters, Gretchen King(Troy), Kelly Nash(Steve), brother, Von Hallett, several nieces and nephews, and too many dear friends that were like family to name them all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Hallett and stepfather Walter Reynolds.
