Thomas Bolser, Jr. Obituary

At 1 pm on Monday November 21st, 2022, Thomas James Bolser Jr. (Tommy), 68 years young, left from his beloved Tuck Away Acres Home to go and be with family and friends.

Tom was born in Danville on January 20th, 1954, to Grace Charlotte Harvey Bolser and Thomas James Bolser Sr. (Chum). Tom married Patricia Anne (Mitchell)  Bolser

on December 2, 1989, at the courthouse in Williamsport, Indiana. She survives.

Also surviving is a sister; Cindy Bolser (Bruce) Webb, his nieces Autumn and Tegan and stepdaughter Lacey Waggaman. Tom’s One Special Granddaughter Keeper (Pickle) Kinderman, whom he devoted all the time he could to be with her and Patty.

Tommy was a good man and could make anyone laugh. He had a generous, loving soul and would help anyone out even if that meant giving them the shirt off his back. He enjoyed fishing, hunting especially being outdoors. Spending time with his wife Patty watching movies or hob knobbing old sales events. Tom loved Christmas stories and movies. Thanksgiving thru Christmas was his favorite holidays. In his younger years, he enjoyed getting together with all his friends and having a few beers and was known to attend a few great parties. In the spring you could find him in the woods looking for deer sheds or mushrooms with his granddaughter Keeper. Keeper was the joy of his life; she brought out the kid in him again. He proudly called her Pickle.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Charlotte (Harvey) Bolser and Thomas James Bolser Sr. (Chum), mother-in-law; Betty Mitchell, and stepson Corey Waggaman.

The Bolser Family wants to thank special family members, friends and neighbors who have been so wonderful during this time of loss.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Per Tom’s wishes he will be cremated, with no services. There will be a “Celebration of Life” held 12 Noon to 4 p.m., (at 2pm a small remembrance ceremony will be held in honor of Tom. Please bring stories to share or written down on paper to be read), December 4, 2022, at the American Legion Post 210, 201 Prospect Place, Danville, Illinois (on the corner of Jackson St. and Prospect Place). In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Tommy supported St Jude’s every month for many years.
