Thomas Slaughter Obituary

Thomas D. Slaughter, 72, of Hoopeston, passed away peacefully and comfortably at home with his family. He was born on October 26, 1948, in Todd County, Kentucky, to Harry Arnett Slaughter and Mary Sue (Boatwright) Slaughter, both deceased.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Elvis R. Slaughter and Dawson Slaughter.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lynne (Hollingsworth) Slaughter; daughter, Rhonda Slaughter; son, Thomas JoDale Slaughter; brothers, Thurman Slaughter, Shelby Slaughter; sister, Darlene (Slaughter) Oakley; 3 step-children, Harold Michael, Bill Michael and Beth McCue; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

“Tomkat” was a simple man and a friend to all. He requested no service be held and to be cremated.
