Timothy "Timmy" Eugene Brooks

Timothy Eugene “Timmy” Brooks, 47, of Danville, IL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Born on June 3, 1977, in Keokuk, Iowa, Tim brought joy, laughter and kindness into every room he entered. 

He was the beloved husband of Victoria “Vicky” Brooks and the cherished son of Connie and James Brooks. A proud graduate of Keokuk High School in Iowa, Tim coached high school and youth football, sometimes alongside his dad. His dedication and encouragement left a lasting impression on the young athletes he mentored. Tim was employed as an IT specialist for the Danville Area School District. Known for his easy-going nature, he made an impact both behind the scenes and in every hallway. 

A lifelong fan of Boston sports, Tim cheered wholeheartedly for the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and Patriots, never missing a chance to support his teams. He was also a devoted pet parent, and all his fur babies held a special place in his heart. Tim will be remembered most for his infections smile, quick wit, and the way he made people feel at ease. His humor, heart, and deep loyalty defined him – and his absence will be felt by all who had the joy of knowing him. 

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Victoria “Vicky” Brooks; mother, Connie Brooks; brothers, Mike and James (Melissa) Brooks; uncle, Randy (Joan) Brooks; aunts, Lori Brackelsberg and Lynn (Robert) Morgan; and many cousins, including Randi Brooks, Melissa (Jake) Boutwell, Bob (Kathleen) Morgan, Dillon (Ashilyn) Morgan, Megan (Jacob) Blunt, Brittney (Jeromy) Speciale, and T.J. (Monica) Brooks. He also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews and many more who loved him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James Brooks; grandparents, Norma and James Brooks; great-grandparents, Gene, Goldie, and Addie; uncles, Tom and Raymond Brooks; and cousin, Jeremy Brooks. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at The Vineyard Church, 3733 Poolside Dr., Danville, IL from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
