William E Burow

William (Bill) Edward Burow, born September 9th, 1941, passed away at Carle Foundation hospital on March 19th, 2024 with his family and Pastor by his side.  William was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth (Debenhaum) Burow and Robert J. Burow, as well as his stepmother, Jo Burow. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon (Songer) Burow from Danville, IL; his brother Robert Burow Jr from Winnetka, IL; his son Christopher (Catherine) Burow from Woodbury, MN; his daughter Libbie (Michael) Cline from Somerset, KY; and his grandsons, Joshua Burow, Zachary Burow, Nicholas Burow of Woodbury, MN; Brody Cline of Champaign, IL; and William Cline of Danville, IL.

William spent his career selling insurance. He began at Webster Hesket and retired from Old National Bank. He was very active in his community from coaching basketball at Garfield School and Immanuel Lutheran to coaching Tornado youth football and American Legion baseball. He was an avid golfer and loved spending his days on the golf course with his wife and good friends.  As a family, many adventures were had from camping and canoeing to skiing Alpine Valley. William was strong in his faith and commitment to Christ through Immanuel Lutheran Church.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Immanuel Lutheran Church would be appreciated and welcomed and can be made in William's name.
