Michael Rortvedt

Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer/Certified Crematory Operator

Michael D. “Mike” Rortvedt is the owner and a licensed funeral director, embalmer and certified crematory operator. He attended Northern Illinois University and is a 1977 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He is currently president of the Vermilion County Funeral Directors Association and a member of Illinois Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Cemetery and Funeral Home Association and National Funeral Directors Association. He is vice president of Peer Court, Inc. Board of Directors, a founding member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a member of the Federal Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team and Indiana Mortuary Emergency Response Team. He is a Third and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mike has been married to Jane (Hardesty) Rortvedt since 1980. They have a daughter, Sarah (John) Vahle in Greenwood Indiana and a grandsons Benjamin, Cameron and Zachary.
